Piller, William Piller Studio, P.O. Box 42, Mendota, IL 61342, has been
commissioned by the Mendota Museum & Historical Society to produce a life
size statue of James Butler (Wild Bill) Hickok. The statue will be based on
a well-known photograph, pictured below, taken by W. Blakeslee, Opposite
Passenger House in Mendota, IL circa 1869.

The process used to create this statue is
called, "The Lost Wax Bronze Process". For a

A budget of $26,000 has been set for this
project. 71% of our budget has been received. The location will be in front
of the Hume-Carnegie Museum. A possible date for the dedication is the third
