October 18, 2011: Heritage Dinner - Mendota Elks Club - Mendota Community Hospital will be opening a new hospital this fall. Our emphasis for Heritage Dinner will be the history of hospitals and doctors in Mendota since its beginning 1853. The keynote speaker will be Lynn Klein from Mendota Community Hospital. She will be discussing the circumstances that led to the need for a new hospital, the process of planning and will give a pictorial presentation of  the inside of the hospital and tell of the services being offered.  Volunteers will also be recognized. The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:00 PM. Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM with the presentation immediately following dinner. The cost for the evening is $25 per person. This includes the meal, coffee, iced tea, lemonade, all taxes and gratuities.
